Made all the stuff for homemade ginger ale will give updates on if its good. Other updates went to the grocery store last night and had a conversation about IATSE and also His Girl Friday with the cashier at 10 pm. Some poor guy was waiting to check out behind us though. Also trying to make my own oat milk. ALSO last night I made crispy chickpeas and theyre so good... lot of kitchen fun lately. Going to try fermented ginger ale as well but I need an empty 2 liter bottle.

passages i found notable in Susan Sontag's "Styles of Radical Will"

been making more art which i will possibly post soon. Struggling a little bit with what ought to be put online versus not shared versus shared in a more in person format. Been thinking about art communities and also diy in person galleries- i think i got the idea from the Keith Haring exhibit at the Walker Art Museum because I think he did them but it may have come from somewhere else. just like renting out a motel room with 3ish other people and puttin art on the walls. Maybe have someone play music. Charge 5 bucks for entry to cover motel cost and light snacks. Been thinking about the 1960s New York avant-garde scene nonstop since I read Just Kids by Patti Smith for a bunch of reasons but the in person/community/physical spaces and galleries and diy shit is definitely part of it.

today I watched a John Waters 1986 house tour on youtube which makes me think about maybe making a bookshelf tour video. I was also talking to friends last night and showing them my little items which is one of my favourite things to do. I'm thinking like the Ethel Cain "tour of my art books" videos sort of vibe where shes really unscripted and theres bad lighting and its sort of minimalistic in that sort of way?

330 AM in the Quebec City airport, heres some updates

Took an Uber with a guy from my program who I don't know, so I was sitting in a car with two strange dudes listening to Justin Beiber at 2:30 in the morning in complete silence
I get to the airport and they take my sunscreen :/
I go through security. My bag gets extensively checked, NOT for the class 3 drug and accompanying injection needles that I have with me, nor the electronic device with the lithium ion battery, but instead they individually check each of my yarn needles (and briefly my short crafting scissors).
