a short film about a guy who needs to find a needle and syringe for his t shot, shit gets WACKY

YOU-- a deeply disorganized t-boy getting ready for a second date. he is on the phone with his date when we establish the time and that they'll come over or something.

NEED-- he's about to do his t-shot. However because he's rushing, he drops his needle so now he can't do it!

GO-- he puts down the syringe full of t and goes around his house digging for an injection needle

SEARCH-- he digs through cabinets, drawers, all around his house. he looks at the clock. he is running out of time.

FIND-- he goes to the pharmacy. he brings his prescription, all of it. things go slowly because its the pharmacy. he is getting impatient. he eventually gets the needle but he is running late. he comes home with it.

TAKE-- he goes home and back to his bathroom. however because he's rushing, he messes up somehow-- either he drops the t vial, or his syringe, or something.

RETURN-- his date calls him again. he is late. he explains the situation. we do not hear her response but...

CHANGED-- he goes to answer the door. it turns out she is a very organized person and always has needles on her for insulin injection.

A trans dude is on the phone, talking to someone about the date that they are about to go on. it is a second date and they are meeting at 6 at this restaurant down the street. he establishes that because it is so close he WILL NOT be late. While he's on the phone, he's getting his t-shot set up. he hangs up, then drops the injection needle that he was about to put on his syringe. cut to the clock. it is 5:45. he puts down his syringe and starts digging around his house: in drawers, cabinets, all over. he realizes he needs to go to the pharmacy. he runs to the pharmacy. he checks the clock again. it is 5:50. he talks to the pharmacist. they are being very slow. he establishes he only needs one injection needle! he eventually gets it. he runs home. goes back to his bathroom. he gets the shot all ready. Then, the a truck goes by and his dog starts barking, it startles him and he drops the needle into the toilet. He sits down on the floor. he gets a phone call. looks at his watch. it's 6:03. he tells her the situation and says he'll be 5 minutes. He arrives at the restaurant and sits down. his date sits in front of him. out of her bag she pulls insulin injection supplies. cut to them later. they are sitting in his bathroom and she is drawing up t for him. they are being very close and affectionate. she counts to three, injects him in the thigh, and he kisses her. freeze frame and the film ends.

perhaps instead of the pharmacy he goes to a friends house. that way its easier to shoot.

Open on some fun song. perhaps have a friend write it. our tboy is singing along to it and prepping his testosterone. His phone rings. He picks it up.

Finn: hello?

sarah: Hi Finn

Finn: hi Sarah!

Sarah: Are you still good for 5:45?

finn: yeah that works

sarah: you're not going to be 15 minutes late again are you?

Finn: no, for sure not, that was a fluke, i'm not, i'm not like that.

sarah: ok. you know it's fine if you are. i just don't want to wait for you.

finn: no, yeah of course. you won't. this place is right by my house i can just walk there.

sarah: im looking forward to seeing you again

finn: so am i.

sarah: ok, i should go, i need to get back to this meeting. see you soon!

finn: see you soon. bye

sarah: bye

hangs up. music resumes playing.

he drops the injection needle on the ground. music stops. zoom in on it. zoom in on his empty needle box. zoom in on Finn's face, shocked.

finn goes around digging through drawers and cabinets, looking for another needle. he doesn't find one.

finn: shit shit shit. [pause.] [sigh]

shot of finn running down the street to a friend's house.

finn knocks on his friend's door. his friend opens. hes wearing one of those silk robe things and vaping.

friend: hey man, what's up

finn: hey, dude. do you have an injection needle i could have?

friend: an injection needle...

finn: yes, an injection needle. and-

cut to a shot of a clock visible in his friends house-- it's 5:35.

finn: im kind of in a hurry.

friend: in a hurry, huh? doesn't seem like you.

finn: im going on a date with this girl, and i really like her, and shes super organized and timely, she has a real adult job and uses a calendar. i don't want to be late...

friend: okay, man, sure, whatever. im sure i have one somewhere.

cut to inside the friend's house. he's digging around in his stuff.

friend: why don't you just wait?

finn: skipped last week. I'll definitely forget. plus it's already drawn up and stuff.

friend: fair enough. here's your needle.

finn: thanks

shot of finn rushing into his bathroom again. he washes his hands and in doing so knocks the drawn up syringe into the toilet.

close up of the clock. it's 5:40.

finn rushes through his house and grabs his key. he pulls out his phone and dials sarah

sarah's voicemail.

finn: hey, sarah, i'm so sorry i'm going to be a few minutes late i know i said i wouldn't but... you don't want to hear my excuses but i dropped my t injection needle and it was my last one... anyway i'll be there soon bye!

shot of finn rushing out the door and slamming it behind him.

finn comes up in front of the restaurant. he checks his watch. it's 5:45 exactly. sarah is not there.

jump cut to finn still there. it's 6. suddenly, sarah comes running up to the restaurant

sarah: *panting, hands on knees. she looks at him, digs in her purse. pulls out injection supplies.

perhaps there is a shot of them walking into the restaurant, or maybe not.

cut to later that evening. they are in finn's bathroom. sarah is on his lap. they are both in their underwear. sarah is prepping t. once its done she holds it in front of his face. she injects it into his thigh and they kiss.
